Google is on the right track to becoming a bank…well sort of. It finally unveiled its Wallet Card after practically a year of rumors. The physical debit card can be used like a regular card, with funds taken from your Google Wallet account. It’s a Mastercard-powered debit card that’s available now for use and allows you to instantly access your cash in your Wallet account, whether you’ve received funds from friends or added it directly from a linked bank account or credit/debit card, without having to wait that long ass period for it to transfer over to your regular bank account.

Purchases with the new card can be made at retail stores and while you’re doing your online shopping and will also let you take out cash from ATMs. Another great thing about the new card is that it’s completely free! So you don’t have to pay any usage charges or anything, pushing Google one step closer to being an online-only bank like Simple.You’re also receive instant notifications when you spend money so you can keep tabs of all your transaction like a regular bank app does.
