Good news for all students out there! Best Buy and Sprint are offering students who are activating a new line free talk, text and data for 12 months! Students must buy a Sprint phone at the Student Activated Price at Best Buy and activate a new line of service on an Unlimited, My Way Plan. According to Scott Anderson, vice president of mobile phones for Best Buy, the plan will save students hundreds of dollars. The Sprint plan includes unlimited talk, text and 1GB data for smartphones or unlimited talk and text for basic phones. No two-year agreement is required on the the students’ lines, which is a huge plus! This promotion offers a savings of up to $70 per month and is good until Jan. 4, 2014.
All students have to pay for is the cost of the phone at the Student Activated Price, a one-time $36 activation fee and monthly taxes and surcharges. And if they need more data, they can easily opt to add it for only $10 a month. And if they want to trade in their old phone, they can opt for in-store trade-in options at Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile store locations nationwide. For hose who provide an additional new referral phone line of service activated on Sprint’s Unlimited, My Way or My All-in plans to the same account at Best Buy, Sprint will reward the account with an additional 12 months of free service for the student line (but the new referral customer must have a two-year agreement).
