Showers are necessary, and often wonderful, but they can also be a bit wasteful. And it’s hard to know exactly what you’re spending when it comes to getting washed off. Sprav is designed to give you control of your water usage, save you a little money, and help save the planet.
Water, Water Everywhere
Here’s the problem; it takes a lot of energy to get that water to your house, heated up, and sprayed on your through a shower head, and as a result, it costs you a lot of money. It’s also difficult to track your water usage, especially over time, because it’s not like you can hook up a gallons-per-minute sensor to your water flow. Sprav takes the hard part out of measuring your water by using wireless sensors, apps, and simple hardware.
Ring Around The Head
It works with two methods. First, it uses temperature sensors to figure out how hot your water is, thus figuring out how much energy you happen to be using. Secondly, it uses acoustic sensors to measure your water flow instead of a flow meter. So you don’t have to bust out the wrench, hire a plumber, or otherwise do anything home-repair related; you just need to clip Sprav behind your showerhead, in front of the flow pipe, and use the app to configure it. Then, you just need to keep an eye out; it’ll tell you with LEDs whether you’re good to go or need to get out.
It may still seem like something of a task to regulate your water usage, even if there is a handy app to go with Sprav, but the savings will be worth it; reducing shower time can save you a lot on utilities. And besides, it’s only $50 for a chromed one; it’ll practically pay for itself.
