Raking the leaves is one of the most annoying tasks of the fall. Mostly because it’s back-breaking labor, raking leaves, and then you have to bend over and shove out as much air as possible cram even more leaves into a yard waste bag. Or you could just buy a Rake N’ Tamp!

Not A Robot, But Almost As Good

Sadly, the Rake N’ Tamp is not a robot that will just rake the leaves for you, although we’re sure that somebody, even now, is working on a robot that will do precisely that. No, instead it’s a multi-purpose yard tool designed to flip easily between two modes.

The first is pretty obvious; it’s a rake. And it’s actually a pretty nice rake, with stainless steel tines and enough space between them to make getting leaves off the ground a simple task. But it’s the other part that makes this useful.

Tamp And Store

That part is pretty simply this: You can slide the tines closed and tuck them inside a plastic shield whenever you feel like it. It’s designed to do this for two reasons: One, so you’ve got a handy tamper to shove all those frickin’ leaves back where they belong. And two, it actually makes the rake much easier to store.

If you’ve ever needed to keep a rake handy, yet out of the way, you’re probably already buying this. The reduced footprint alone makes it pretty ideal for smaller homes and storage. And the fact that it won’t get tangled in anything else appeals as well.

So, if you’re sick of space-consuming rakes and throwing out your back stuffing bags full of leaves, there’s finally a rake for you. And the price is nice as well: At just $30, it’s going to be your best friend for keeping the yard clean.
