The iPhone is, among many other things, the most successful point-and-shoot camera in the world. Think about it; how many billions of photographs have been taken and shared? And, as such, some people want a little more variety in their photos. So Olloclip is here to help with a new take on their iPhone lenses.
From 3-in-1 To 4-in-1
First, it has to be said that these are lenses designed for a relatively simple camera, so these are going to improve your snapshots, not make you an artist. But they will at least give you a lot more variety: The four lens types are two types of macro lens at 10x and 15x, a fisheye, and a wider angle to capture those panoramas more effectively. And it’s cleverly engineered, as well; just screw in a lens, or unscrew it, to get the lens you want.
Corner To Corner
To install these lenses, you simply slide the correct end into your iPhone. The lens clicks into place over your iPhone’s standard camera, and you now have a lens available to improve your photography. Yep, that’s it. That’s all you need to do. It also means you can pull it off easily if you just need to take a normal snapshot.
Furthermore, you don’t need to worry about apps; since the 4-in-1 is a mechanical solution, not a software one, it’ll work with any app that uses your camera. So, whether you’re recording video or just looking to put a few macro shots on Instagram, you’ve got a useful lens, either way.
You will, of course, need to use these judiciously to get the best effect, but part of the fun is experimenting in photography. You can even get these in a variety of colors, and they’re cheap for what you get; $70 plus shipping on their official site gets you the 4-in-1, and you can also get telephoto lenses and a 3-in-1. Currently they’re available for iPhone 4 and up.
