Audi’s doing some serious shrinkage of their crossovers each year. First there was the Q7, which has since been downsized to the Q5 then the Q3 and now reports from Germany are saying that they plan on producing their Q1 Crossover, which will be their pint-sized premium crossover. It’s said to share the same platform as the VW Polo and their own A1. According to Autobild, it will be a front-drive-only vehicle even though it’s already been modified to have all-wheel drive. It’s also said that powering the tiny crossover will be a range of our-cylinder engines in gasoline, diesel, hybrid and even an SQ1 version that can push out 230 ponies under the hood. Look out for the Q1 when it’s set to hit in 2016 and rival the new Mercedes-Benz GLA.
