RIDEYE

Cyclists know how dangerous each ride can be. There are a lot of close calls with cars and pedestrians, especially if you ride in the city. The new Kickstarter campaign for RIDEYE is a black box camera that mounts on your bike and allows cyclists to feel safer while out riding their bikes. Just like in an airplane, this black box will record whatever happens if you ever crash, which will come in handy if any legal action needs to be taken. The device is an objective, omnipresent witness that protects you against hit-and-runs and false claims.

RIDEYE continuously records high-definition (1280 x 720) video onto its internal memory, which can hold up to an hour of video. To use it, simply mount it on your bike and a single  single press of its button turns it on and starts recording automatically, while another  press turns turns it off. Rideye’s internal microprocessor handles the rest. It has an impressive battery life of 24 hours thanks to its state-of-the-art lithium cells and efficient power management. The early bird special is still available so get yours by pledging $99 or more.
