USB controlled missile cams are, to say the least, old news. They were however a hot topic a number of years ago, and if you were to look back you’d fine them littered across the web from gadget blog to gadget blog. So with some trepidation I present to you the Axniper, a USB controlled sniper rifle complete with a video camera (that appears to be from 2005).
Surprisingly, the linked page is fairly detailed when it comes to the USB Sniper turret. But what you’ll really want to know is that is can apparently fire a .12g to .2g BB at almost 100fps. Impressive. The camera is of VGA quality, and apparently works in tandem with their very own app that is said to assist with aiming – how, I don’t know. Effective range, despite the BB’s decent velocity, is just 8m, though I wouldn’t have expected much more since it’s not gassed powered. One last note: the Axniper is only compatible with Windows XP/Vista/7 machines.
You can buy it for about $100 from this Japanese retailer.
