Back in April Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Mega 5.8 and 6.3. And today the company officially announced that Galaxy Mega 6.3 will be coming to the US this summer.
The Mega 6.3, as the name suggests sports a 6.3-inch screen, though it’s rather lack luster thanks to a 720p resolution. That said, you can split screen on the device, making good use of the phone’s exceptional amount of screen real-estate. LTE and HSPA chips are standard issue, though Sammy has yet to reveal exactly what processor setup will be inside, though we do know it will be they’ll be a dual-core setup running at 1.7Ghz. Other features include an 8-megapixel camera, Android 4.2.2, 1.5GB of RAM.
In terms of availability, AT&T came out swinging by announcing that the handset will hit stores August 23rd for $149.99 on contract, or $24 per month if you opt for their NEXT program. US Cellular will also be carrying the device, as well Sprint, though neither have said when the handset will be available for purchase. Sprint did however confirm that their unlimited plan will be applicable towards the Samsung Mega 6.3.
