I spent most of my high school years in a small, rural town, and I’ll tell you the truth, it gets boring fast. As a result, I did a lot of stuff as a kid that can safely be construed as, well, done for the sake of proving you could do it. As a result, even though these particular kids are an ocean and a language away, somehow I know, I just know, that somebody bet somebody they couldn’t build a motorized wheelbarrow.
Well, it turns out that they can, and we’re all better for it.
Most of what we know about this particular device must sadly be inferred. We know that this video comes from Poland, thanks to a YouTube note labeling it “Poland Style”. We know that the driver, at least, is a teenager, and one who respects proper helmet laws. And we know that however this thing was built, it’s fairly zippy for what’s going to be an unorthodox use of the engine.
Beyond that, we know nothing. The engine sounds a bit like an old dirt bike model, which is the kind of thing farmers would have lying around (and something the fact that this kid has a dirt bike helmet lying around would also be a hint). Having grown up in a rural area, I’m also guessing this is designed to make unpleasant hauling tasks at least a little more tolerable, or at least faster; if you live on a farm, you’ll be shoveling a lot of things into other things, and some of those things smell awful.
All we can do is wish these Polish teenagers speed and well-wishes as they show off their motorized wheelbarrow. And also less in the way of splatting, because that’s both disgusting and really, really hard to clean.
