Hennessey Performance is known for their performance-based rides that feature boosted horsepower and now they have modified their first Ferrari 458. They plan to unveil it tomorrow at the Concorso Italiano during the Monterey Weekend, then again the next day in the Laguna Seca’s paddock as part of the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion. The Hennessey HPE700 Twin Turbo upgrade boosts power to 738 hp, which is about 170 more crankshaft hp than when it’s stock. It has a quarter-mile time of 10.5 seconds at 137 mph and can go from 0-60 mph in just under 2.8 seconds.
Most of the upgrades are concealed underneath the cars custom-made carbon fiber covers, with the turbochargers tucked toward the back end of the vehicle. A Hennessey reflash of the engine-control computer works perfectly with the car’s direct injection to optimize fuel delivery and spark. Customers can go even further and opt to customize it with the company’s CarbonAero exterior pieces that are currently still in development, but will feature a arbon-fiber front splitter and rear lip spoiler designed to accentuate the Ferrari’s already beautiful exterior. there is also a KW suspension system option and 20-inch monoblock forged wheels. Inside can also be upgraded to customers’ wishes. The upgrade will sell for $59,995 and include a 1-year/12,000-mile warranty.
