For those who want to take their journey from land to sea will definitely need the WaterCar Panther, the latest amphibious car to hit the web. Its pretty wacky promo video is currently a hit on YouTube, probably a deliberate move to garner attention for the unique vehicle (lots of rock music and bikinis). Resembling a Jeep, the Panther also takes styling cues from water-sport vehicles. It’s powered by a 3.7-liter V6 Honda engine that powers its rear wheels and its Panther Jet propulsion system.
It’s said that the Panther can do 44 mph over water (or 38 knots) and do more than 80 mph on the road. The transition from car to sea-faring boat is also said to take about 15 seconds. No word on pricing yet from WaterCar, but it’s price tag will most likely be pretty high since it can tackle both road and water. If it’s all that it claims to be, this baby might take out the need for Jet Skis!
