PS4 Xbox One Comparison

Shown above: Microsoft’s Xbox One. We still don’t know what the PS4 looks like.

If you’ve been waiting non-so-patiently for pricing and pre-order intel for Microsoft’s inbound enemy-to-non-gamer girlfriends, then wait no further. It’s E3 this week in the States and the talk in Los Angeles is all about the next generation consoles. The past couple weeks, in the wake of initial announcements, news on the next generation of consoles from Sony and Microsoft hasn’t exactly lit the gaming world on fire.

How this next bit of news washes over you will correlate directly with your reserve of disposable cash. E-tailer giant Amazon has a pre-order for the Xbox One listing the recently dubbed “Xbone” at $499.99. that’s expensive but not unreasonable or nontraditional by previous console price standards. Msoft says this is the pricing shared across 21 countries, but doesn’t go into detail on which countries specifically.

At that price eager gamers will receive the new Xbone console, one of the new wireless controllers, the new Kinect and a 14-day trial of Xbox Live Gold. You can bet there will be other bundles, packages and game-specific inclusion promos. But this is the initial bare-bones pre-order deal we have available to us.
