I’ve seen a wide variety of watches, but none have would appear to be more useful than Tokyoflash Japan’s Kisai Intoxicated LCD Watch.

At this point you might have guessed that the Kisai Watch has a built-in breathalyzer.  Without a dedicated breathalyzer on hand there is no way of determining if it is at all accurate, but that should go without saying.  Nevertheless, the watch, regardless of its accuracy, is a technological feat given its rather small size and functionality.

To use the breathalyzer feature you simply unscrew the sensor cover (it looks like a winding mechanism for a traditional watch), hit a button, wait for it to warm up, and then breath into the hole.  Depending on your level of sobriety, or lack there of, the watch’s screen will glow: green for sober, yellow when you’re buzzed, and red when you’re trashed.

For added fun Tokyoflash has included a sobriety game that challenges you to pause a a moving line when it reaches dead center – sort of analogous to that of following an officer of the law’s finger.  Moreover, there is an alarm, date, and time function.  Time function!!

Of note, there is a disclaimer at the bottom of the product page that reads:

This watch is designed for entertainment only. The retailer does not warrant that the results obtained from this breathalyzer will be completely accurate or reliable and accepts no liability for consequences arising from its use. Please remember, do not drink and drive under any circumstance.
