Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, the epic Star Wars role-playing game from 10 years ago, is now available on the iPad. Yes, the iPad. That said, you’ll need to have at least an iPad 2 in your position, which really isn’t a big surprise since my iPad 1 can barely handle a web page.
It would seem that this is the full, original game that first appeared on the Xbox (not the Xbox 360). IGN, which already reviewed it, albeit without much detail, gave it positive marks. However, they said that any diehard player would benefit from a physical joystick as the touchscreen controls can grow aggravating especially when trying to move your character.
So, if you don’t have much to do this weekend, and would rather spend $10 on an RPG than an overpriced beer, this might be the game you’re looking for. Yes, Star Wars: Knights for the Old Republic is available now in the iTunes store.
Grew up back East, got sick of the cold and headed West. Since I was small I have been pushing buttons - both electronic and human. With an insatiable need for tech I thought "why not start a blog focusing on technology, and use my dislikes and likes to post on gadgets."
