Remember the Nvidia mobile processor the Tegra 4? Similar to the geek-laden desert nomenclature that Google uses for its Android OS–Ice Cream Sandwich, Jelly Bean etc.–Tegra 4 is dubbed “Wayne”. You know, as in brooding Bruce Wayne, the Caped Crusader’s formal wear to his cape and cowl street wear. Tegra 4, the unmasked Dark Knight has made its way into a Tablet on which Toshiba is tinkering away. The AT10LE-A is said to be one of the first consumer products to make use of Tegra 4’s superpowers.
The Toshiba AT10LE-A is a 10.1 inch display tablet. The Tegra 4 chip is pumping along at 1.8Ghz. This will be an Android device running Android Jelly Bean 4.2.1. We have mini HDMI port, microSD slot, micro USB port and relatively handsome dockable keyboard for more stringent productivity use. There are several unknowns still on this one. We will keep our eyes peeled for storage capacity numbers, availability and the cost of entry.
It should be noted, the Toshiba AT10LE-A Android tablet is not the only new device to be powered by chip without fear. HP Is dressing up their Slatebook 10 X2 and HP Slate 21 AiO with Tegra 4, according to recent AnTuTu bench results.
