Got a few bucks and you can probably start your own headphone company.   Seriously.  Take a look around and the headphone space has become incredibly busy, if not overly saturated.  Cutting through the fat is no easy feat, and just because you’re paying top dollar that doesn’t mean you’re gonna get a quality product.

While the jury is still out on Marshall’s newest headphones, the Monitors, one thing is that they sport an iconic look that has a represents the company’s tasteful history.  Put some what succinctly, they are to rock n’ roll, to what Beats headphones are to Hip Hop.

Bad analogies aside, and less of a focus on aesthetics, the Marshall Monitor’s also include physical inserts that slightly influences the flavor of the sound.  Remove it and the audio becomes brighter.  Keep it in and things will remain warmer, though voices will be less cutting and clear.

Feature wise you’re looking at a coiled cord with dual 3.5mm inputs (to share your tunes), an inline remote and mic, a collapsible design, classic marshal bronze detailing, and 40mm drivers – these should put out a fair bit of bass.
