I loathe most TV shows. They’re more often than not contrived stinking piece of you know what. And while I haven’t seen a single episode of JJ Abram’s newest creation, Almost Human, the trailer indicates to me that it will be relatively entertaining.
That said, it stars Star Trek’s Karl Urban who plays a disgruntled cop whose personality closely mimics Will Smith’s character in “iRobot”. Playing along side him is Michael Ealy, a “synthetic” (cyborg) that is in older model brought back to life.
It’s pretty obvious that Urban’s character will be taught life lessons by the synthetic, and along the way they’ll reluctantly bond with one and other, which result in a mutual humanizing affect. Okay, so it’s bit cookie cutter, but for a TV show it ain’t looking half bad. But then again, Hemlock Grove looked pretty killer and it’s a horrible mess.
Grew up back East, got sick of the cold and headed West. Since I was small I have been pushing buttons - both electronic and human. With an insatiable need for tech I thought "why not start a blog focusing on technology, and use my dislikes and likes to post on gadgets."
