Remember Final Fantasy XIV? Yeah. That kinda flopped. Die hard fans of the series and hopeful fans will be happy to know that the revamped version of FF XIV, now named Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn was just confirmed with a release date of August 27, 2013 for the PS3 and PC.

The game was rebuilt from the ground up (same setting and lore, but new game engine, client, server, and data structure) and will be launched at a lower price point than most new games – $30 for the PC and $40 for the PS3. Happily, preorder is already available on Green Man Gaming for the PC version…and you guessed it, there’s a 20% off coupon that works for the title.
