The all-new Legoland Hotel opened its doors for fans and guests on Friday, April 5, 2013 to much anticipation. Located right next door to the theme park in Carlsbad, CA, the 3-story hotel has 250 rooms and all sorts of wonderful LEGO creations. There’s about 3,500 LEGO models scattered around the hotel, with more than three million LEGO bricks used for the sculptures. There’s even a gigantic dragon in the tower that guards the hotel’s entrance that took more than 4,000 hours to build using 400,000 bricks. As the first Legoland Hotel in North America (the two others in Windsor, England and Billund, Denmark), adult visitors will feel as though they’re a kid again with the family-friendly hotel featuring loads of children’s play pits around the Castle Play area.
