A dog gadget is generally a gadget worth writing about. Case in point is Sony’s AKA-DM1 action camera mount designed specifically for dogs. It works in tandem with Sony’s Action Cam. I’m hearing it could be compatible with other cameras, though you’ll clearly want something that can take a beating, because last I checked dogs aren’t cognizant of what’s strapped to their body.
Unfortunately, the AKA-DM1 isn’t compatible with pooches under 30lbs, and they’ll need a torso that measures between 50 and 80cm. Clearly a medium-sized dog is applicable, though you’ll want to make some measurements before you drop $50 on this somewhat unorthodox device.
That being said, Sony is launching the AKA-DM1 in Japan only, at least for now. However, given that the US is a dog obsessed culture, I don’t see why it wouldn’t be brought to market here.
