Mailbox, the app that had a wait list that stretched hundred of thousands, is now open and available to all. Unfortunately, it’s only available for iPhone users who have a Gmail account. So, Hotmail, Yahoo, and other email services will have to get back in line, so to speak.
James did a full on review of the service and gave it top marks (4.5/5). If you recall, Mailbox converts your email into tasks, allowing you to address them later by providing appropriate reminders as you see fit. All to often I hit the “unread” button with the hopes of returning to the email only to ignore it until I decide it’s time to purge my inbox of unwanted emails. And by that time it’s often too late or pointless to respond to the email.
The wait time can be awhile, but once you’re in, Mailbox is an app you won’t be able to stop using. And it’ll make you use your iPhone for email much more than a web browser. Which, in many ways, is the best and scariest thing that it could do.
So what are you waiting for? Head to the App Store and download Mailbox today.
