Slated for a launch in early 2014, the Socialmatic Camera, which is a brand new instant camera that is aimed at allowing you fill the gap between the virtual world and the real world.
It’s going to be based on Android as its main OS, and Socialmatic will represent a revolution in social digital photography. The new camera will allow users to: live the emotions while taking a shot; apply proprietary photo filters; post it on a Socialmatic Network and share on other social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and more; print it, add a comment and pull off the auto-adhesive strip and share it in the real world; and follow the photo in the real and virtual world via its own QR code.
It will also feature 16GB of internal mass storage with WiFi and 3G connectivity, together with a SC-HD slot for external mass storage. They’ve recently signed a MoU agreement with C & A Marketing, the company grants rights to produce and market cameras and accessories under the Polaroid brand owned by PLR IP Holdings, LLC.
Sorry, no word on a price or an actual launch date, but since Polaroid has not teamed up with the company, it’s not a question of if, but when the Socialmatic camera will launch.
