Netflix has long provided full HD playback. But not all HD is the same. So, for those of you that demand the best in streaming quality, you won’t have to look much further than Netflix Super HD, which provides customers the best picture quality yet.
It gives users superior video quality for the same low price of their regular subscription fees. You get nothing but beautiful, smooth playback on movies and TV shows that will look beyond amazing on your 1080p HDTV. It will be available on PS3, WiiU, Windows 8, Roku, and Apple TVs with 1080p, and select smart TVs and Blu-Ray players. Also expect more devices to be included sometime in the near future.
It’s free with your membership and requires an Internet connection with at least 5Mb/s download, and not all devices can play in SuperHD. Its also only available via Internet Providers that are part of the Open Connect Network, so if you get a message that your provider isn’t configured for it, don’t freak out. Just contact your provider and request (or even demand if you want it that bad) that they join the Netflix Open Connect network so that you can get it.
