GR Daily Deals: MacBook Pro Retina Price drop plus Dead Space 3: Awakened releases

Back in February Apple updated their MacBook Pro Retina series laptops with a 2.4GHz processor. Thus the older 2.3GHz processor Retina models have come down significantly in price. The retailer Rakuten (formerly Buy.com) has the June 2012 model down to $1,849 – a new low by $50 and $80 cheaper than the next best price online ($1,929). The newer February 2013 MacBook Pro Retina, by contrast, is $2,199.

Today the Dead Space 3 series added a new chapter with the Awakened expansion/DLC pack. Green Man Gaming has the only known discount, dropping the price to $8 after coupon. Amazon and elsewhere you’ll pay the full $9.99 MSRP.

If you’re looking to enter the world of high end DSLR photography, there’s a pretty solid Canon EOS Rebel deal at Rakuten. Bundled with a 18-55mm lens, you’ll only pay $560 with free shipping. Most retailers sell the T4i body alone for $600 or more. The Lens itself usually costs $89.

If you’re a fan of alternative history then now isn’t a bad time to grab the Assassin’s Creed III Seasons Pass. GameFly has it 20% off this week, just in the nick of time for next week’s DLC release Tyranny of King Washington. Finally, Best Buy’s Deal of the Day is Disneyland Adventures for the Kinect at only $5.99 with free shipping – a new low by 4.
