It’s not often that a game developer, known for its lucrative triple-A games, can stick to a year+ long promise. But that’s exactly what EA Games developer DICE has done with a little thing called Battlefield 3. They promised when the game launched that it would be broadened with over a year’s worth of downloadable content, missions and maps. The game will have been out for 2-years come this October and last week brought the release of DLC pack number 5.

DICE offers a new promise, to continue supporting Battlefield 3 even after these initial DLC packs, all of which can be had if you purchased Battlefield 3 Premium. But now the spotlight pans to a new endeavor. A giant looms beneath the ocean. A propeller spins churning murky depths. Yup! It’s a prolonged teaser for the series’ next installment. Battlefield 4 is coming and it looks like some of the fighting will be on and/or under water.

Keep a look out for the full reveal, which EA teases to be March 27th. Hey that’s next week!
