MWC, or Mobile World Congress is underway.  This year (and all other years) I’ve decided to skip it – it’s just too far away and I’m not sure we can compete with the likes of Engadget, Gizmodo, CNET, Read Write, and so forth.  So I just as soon stay in the warm climate of So Cal and write from one of the many coffee shops that I visit around the West Side.

And it looks like Samsung is taking a similar approach…at least when it comes to their next flagship phone.  Today, the company confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy S IV (S4) will make its unveiling in New York City on March 14th.  Last year, Samsung unveiled the SIII in London so it’s nice to see a domestic launch, though the company is based in S. Korea.

That all said, they’ll have a live stream of the Samsung S4 event on YouTube (www.youtube.com/samsungmobile)
