Logitech Unveils Ultrathin Keyboard Mini For iPad Mini
Love your iPad Mini, but hate its touch-screen keyboard?
Today Logitech has unveiled the perfect solution: the new Ultrathin Keyboard mini. With its slim, aluminum cover, the Keyboard mini is designed to give you a comfortable typing experience without adding bulk to the thin, light tablet. The company is touting the mobile keyboard as “the other half of your iPad mini.”
The Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard mini attaches to your iPad mini with powerful integrated magnets and provides durable protection when your mini isn’t being used. When you do need to use it, just flip around the Ultrathin Keyboard mini to its built-in Bluetooth EasyType keyboard and you’ll get traditional typing layout plus iPad mini function shortcut keys for common commands (such as copy and paste).
The keyboard is 5.54″ H x 7.87″ W x 0.29″ D, with a weight of 0.48 lbs – making it a bit smaller than Logitech’s Ultrathin keyboard for the regular iPad (which is 7.47″ H x 9.5″ W x o.39″ D and weighs 0.78 lbs).
The Ultrathin Keyboard Mini also doubles as a hands-free view stand and has a three-month battery life (based on usage of two hours per day). It will be available this month (in black, white and red) in the U.S. and Europe for$79.99.
