Oompa Loompa do-ba-dee-dee, Googles got a wonderland-style office in Tel Aviv. How many Everlasting Gobstobbers and original Wonka Bars would you guzzle down to get a golden ticket, I mean a job proposal for Google’s new enchanted work space in gorgeous Tel Aviv Israel? The new place of work is the product of design mavens Camenzind Evolution working with Setter Architechs and Studio Yaron Tal. The new Israeli stomping grounds are a massive 85,000 square feet across seven floors in the Electra Tower, a skyrcraper of office suites previously known as the Amkor Tower or Elco Tower. The place is stunning inside and out.
The new Tel Aviv home for Google is inspired by Israeli designs and sustainability. It was made to be interactive, open and stimulating for work and communication with “Googlers”. Google says “nearly 50%” of the place was designated to provide “communication landscapes” and provide diversity in the work place. Without a doubt this is a truly stunning place to work. Each room lends itself to a different charm and ambiance. Yet I would love to work in any of these settings. Each suite, office and conference room looks like it was either designed by Wonka himself or plucked from blueprints pilfered off the architect who designed the witches house in Hansel and Gretel.
All the wooden themes and nature motifs are breathtaking. It stirs camping themes and weekends away resting by a fire in an elaborate log cabin. But I especially like the room with the warped slid, which I hope is an escape shoot from the rec room to someone office cubicle. What am I saying…? Of course it is.
Freshomes quotes Google stating the following about the new duds,
“It is a new milestone for Google in the development of innovative work environments: nearly 50% of all areas have been allocated to create communication landscapes, giving countless opportunities to employees to collaborate and communicate with other Googler’s in a diverse environment that will serve all different requirements and needs.”
