LEGO iPhone cases are nothing new. In fact, we showed you Smallworks‘ version this past January after I stumbled upon their booth at CES 2013.
And that’s why I’m a bit surprised to see LEGO form a pact with Belkin to produce and distribute a LEGO iPhone case of their very own. That being said, Belkin has partnered up with LEGO presumably with the intent of selling more than just an iPhone case that you can tack the iconic bricks on top of. What those other products are I don’t know. Nevertheless, since the brand has grown to a size never before seen, largely in part to their deal with Lucas, I’d expect to see some tie-ins with Star Wars.
“The LEGO company is a renowned global brand, synonymous with quality, design and most importantly, fun,” said Patrick Sullivan, director of product management at Belkin. “This partnership opens up a whole new audience for Belkin and we are extremely excited to work together on a line of cases based on iconic LEGO toys that will inspire creativity and promote individuality in people of all ages.”
Grew up back East, got sick of the cold and headed West. Since I was small I have been pushing buttons - both electronic and human. With an insatiable need for tech I thought "why not start a blog focusing on technology, and use my dislikes and likes to post on gadgets."
