The future is here! If you want to cuddle on the couch with your significant other but watch The Walking Dead while she catches up on Say Yes to the Dress, Samsung has a TV for you.
The company’s new KN55F9500: a 55-inch, 1080p resolution, “Real” OLED TV, and the first TV with a multi-view feature that lets two people watch two different shows at the same time. With 3D technology, the TV presents a different image to viewers sitting on the left and right sides of the television. The KN55F9500 also features Smart Hub software with a TV program guide for content discovery and a 1.35 GHz quad-core A15 processor, a 1.35 GHz chip based on ARM’s Cortex-A15 architecture and voice control.
Samsung promises “unprecedented picture quality” with the KN55F9500. To see the right picture, you have to wear special glasses – but luckily, you can wear the same glasses for both 2D and 3D images. (The glasses also include headphones, so that you’ll hear the correct audio for your chosen channel.)
Samsung first unveiled a 55-inch OLED TV at CES 2012, so it’s disappointing that there’s still no word on how much the KN55F9500 will cost or when it will be available to consumers.
