Ultimate Batman Chess Set Includes 50 LEDs, Batman, Joker and More
Normally I’d glaze over yet another chess set that celebrates a pop culture icon. But this chess set is the exception to the rule thanks to its uncanny detail as well as features, which are sure to make it a collector’s item amongst the Batman crazed.
At $795 it’s a tough pill to swallow, and if so you might be best off picking up that $40 Super Heroes Batman set I showed you yesterday. However, if you can accept the rather large price tag, as well as a find a place to show off this surely limited edition chess set in your home, than you need not look any further. Infused into the board are 50 LED lights that encompass the playing field and light up the Gotham cityscape. The board measures 20-inches square, which in turn enables playing pieces (The Joker, Catwoman, Riddler, Penguin, Batman, Robin, Batgirl and Commissioner Gordon) that stand 5.5-inches tall – they’re made from fine pewter and die-cast metal. Apparently, the manufacturer has also included a Bat Signal that can project onto a nearby ceiling or wall.
