This Star Wars X-Wing Coffee Table Rocks, Too Bad It Costs $60,500
I thought the Han Solo in Carbonite coffee table was cool. Boy was I wrong.
This X-Wing Coffee Table easily takes the prize for the geekiest of Star Wars coffee tables since the actual X-Wing is integrated into the table’s surface – look closer if you haven’t already. The wings and the cockpit are on top, while the bottom portion of the fuselage appears to hang below. The builders/designers seemed to have spared no expense when developing the X-Wing Coffee Table’s legs, though I’m not crazy about those large metal clasps that are disrupting the flow of woody awesomeness.
The X-Wing Coffee Table was built and designed by Sean Regan and Aubrey Cohen, who say it took them 6-months to build. And with that they’re asking for a reported $60,500 from any interested party. It’s a hefty sum to say the least, especially for a table that doesn’t allow you to use 100% of its surface. So, needless to say I’ll pass on buying this one. Instead I’ll sink my money into the aforementioned Han Solo Coffee Table, which costs a fair bet less. In fact it costs about the price of a 5-series less; $2,000.
