Video Game inspired toys are a dime a dozen. This however is no toy, and isn’t for the cheap at heart. This my video game playing friends, is an officially licensed Gears of War 3 Hammerburst replica gun.
Unfortunately, it won’t fire anything, not even foam darts or pellets, but it does include real working LED lights. It also happens to weigh a massive 35lbs, so yes, you’ll need both hands wrapped around the Hammerburst replica’s custom paint job in order to keep it from pointing at the floor. And despite it appearing to be made from metal, it is in fact molded using polystone that is said to deliver uncanny detail. By the way, that’s 3-feet of polystone, which in other words is the length of this replica gun. So even though it’s not a real gun, it’s a life-sized replica.
ThinkGeek sells the Gears of War HammerBurst Prop Replica for $900. Yes, you read that right. But for that price, you’ll enjoy a limited production of just 500 units, so the odds of someone else rocking the same prop this Halloween are gonna be kind of slim.
Grew up back East, got sick of the cold and headed West. Since I was small I have been pushing buttons - both electronic and human. With an insatiable need for tech I thought "why not start a blog focusing on technology, and use my dislikes and likes to post on gadgets."
