News flash : the average timepiece worn on the wrist of an adult homo sapien is equivalent to a stack of cinder blocks resting on a single wrist. (Hey I don’t make this stuff up. I just conjure it out of the ether.) Chances are, you’re already late. Why be made to suffer like the victim of a Geneva Convention violation? Would it not be more comfortable to wear a lighter, less cumbersome timepiece–one that didn’t anchor you in place? About 35 Kickstarter members agree and marshaled financial support in the $100′s of thousands, for the  wafer-like CST-01: The World’s Thinnest Watch.

At 0.80 mm thin, the CST-01 is super flexible, made from a single piece of stainless steel and fits on the wrist much better than the name rolls off the tongue. The face of the watch is beautiful and uses a rich over-sized number font for obscenely clear and visible readability. The battery lasts over a month and the thing comes with its own charging base. This is where you set the time and such, since its petite waistline is bereft of any buttons or other inputs.

The Kickstarter campaign for the CST-01 has 35 days left to go. But this is really a done deal. They’ve valiantly amassed $496,697 of their $200,000 goal. Well done!
