Who needs buttons, right? Who cares about apertures, lighting, AF-ing and such? You just want to capture those irreplaceable moments in time. Remember that one cute moment where young “Johnny” edited your business proposal with Nutella? Or how about the priceless look on your face when “Uncle Bob” gave you a pair of underwear covered in peanut butter for April Fool’s day? Ahhh, memories…!
Canon was thinking of you when they tinkered to create the Canon Powershot N point-and-shoot camera. The Powershot N is bereft of a great many controls and buttons found on even the simplest point-and-shoot cameras. The only physical controls are two functions on the rings around the lens. One snaps the shutters while the other handles lens zoom. All other controls are found on the 90 degree flip out capacitive touch screen. Canon has also made sure the power of the social sphere is still at your command, however. WiFi functionality ensures photo sharing is made super simple.
This Powershot N is a 12.1 megapixel camera with 8x zoom lens. Measuring at 3.1 x 2.4 x 1.2 inches, the camera is insanely small–almost all lens- and supposedly light enough to wear around the neck. The company is also hitting the product with a deluge of user-friendly features and auto-adjusting solutions to aid the novice photographer in taking stellar photos.
