It’s been barely a month – actually one day short of a month – and Microsoft has already updated their iOS Xbox Smartglass app. Don’t get too excited, though, since this iteration of the app is largely targeted at iPhone 5 owners.
First and foremost, those annoying black bars at the bottom of the screen are now gone, meaning the iPhone 5’s entire display is utilized in all its glory. Word is that Microsoft has fixed some bugs, but what those are are anyone’s guess. Perhaps you had some problems with your iPhone 5 and the iOS Smartglass app. If so, drop a comment below and let us know what else has been improved.
In case you forget, the Smartglass app is designed specifically for the Xbox 360, and provides additional movie and game info on your handsets or tablets, a second screen device that doesn’t detract from your gaming experience. Hopefully, games such as Madden, where secret play calling is paramount, will use this tech, and give you just the edge you need to finally win against your arch enemy.
Grew up back East, got sick of the cold and headed West. Since I was small I have been pushing buttons - both electronic and human. With an insatiable need for tech I thought "why not start a blog focusing on technology, and use my dislikes and likes to post on gadgets."
