iPads, Macbooks, and iPhones are easily replaceable.  And their cost will be a moot concern especially if you’re considering the Tumi Tegra-Lite Bulletproof Attaché.

But perhaps you’re more concerned with the contents on these device, and hence justifying the $5,995 price tag.  And while it’s not rated for official government use, it does however meet the National Institute of Justice’s 0108.01 standard.  The case is designed using a special material called Tegra-lite, a polypropylene thermoplastic composite material created by Milliken for use in lifesaving armor, NASCAR race cars and protective gear for NFL players.

The case itself weighs a somewhat hefty 12.3lbs and measures 13.25″ x 18.25″ x 4.25″.  Included is leather trim, a combination lock, ID tag, a leather monogram patch, and the always necessary handcuff attachment.  In the event an explosive does detonate nearby and you find yourself buried in a pile of rubble, a false bottom on the Tegra-lite Bulletproof attaché can conceal a Snicker’s bar, a bag of peanuts, or some smuggled blood diamonds.

The Tumi Tegra-lite Bulletproof Attaché is available now from Tumi direct.
