One off projects are the worse when you want one of your own. Case in point was that “Back to the Future 2″ LEGO set. If you recall, it depicted the Hill Valley scene from the movie in which Marty hovers across the water while being chased by Biff’s son and his evil cronies.
Well my friends, you can pine no longer over such a non-existent set. A LEGO “Back to the Future” set has been approved on the company’s crowd funded site – I had no idea such as site existed. The site is called CUUSOO, and the “Back to the Future” LEGOs have now been approved for review, which seems to indicated that they’ll be building it in due time. To be clear, the only thing that has been approved is Marty, Doc, and the Delorean Time Machine, but that’s surely more than enough to satiate even the most rabid of LEGO and “Back to the Future” fans, right?
Unfortunately, I don’t know the price or when the set will be available for purchase. But I’m willing to wager a bet that will see it emerge sometime mid-next year, and that this one will sell so well that LEGO will design and manufacturer a whole line of BTTF LEGOs allowing you to build a slew of items found in the movie franchise.
