Getting your app to the top of charts in the Apple App Store doesn’t normally happen over night. That is unless of course your name is Google and you relaunch an app that millions have been waiting for. It also helps if there is an existing app (in this case Apple Maps) that took its place many months prior. That app, as I’m sure you’ve deduced, is Google Maps, which has now hit 10 million downloads as of this morning. If you recall, Google Maps relaunched for the iPhone just 5 days ago, and that’s not even 5 full days; more like 4 in change.
As of this writing, Google Maps for the iPhone has 20,496 reviews with a 4.5 star rating. Pretty impressive to say the least.
Grew up back East, got sick of the cold and headed West. Since I was small I have been pushing buttons - both electronic and human. With an insatiable need for tech I thought "why not start a blog focusing on technology, and use my dislikes and likes to post on gadgets."
