Stepping on your bathroom scale is far from a pleasant or enjoyable experience.  Unless of course you’ve shredded some serious pounds and you want to bask in your accomplishment.  That being said, meeting your target weight it no easy feat, even for the most regimented.  Offering a firm assist is none other than Withings.

A few years ago they released their first iteration of the iPhone scale, and for the most part we liked what we saw.  Keeping the scale powered up was no easy challenge as it took 4 AAA batteries, but other than that it worked as promised. Now the company has released the second iteration of the device, the WS-30.

For the most part, the Withings WS-30 is effectively the same device as the first.  However, this one can retain up to 130 weigh-ins without a smart device connected to its wireless signal, and is compatible with up to 16 profiles.  Also, instead of being relegated to the Withings app, the WS-30 works with a variety of iOS apps, 110 different health & fitness apps to be slightly more specific.  Other than that, it’s still the same WiFi connected scale that can send weight and BMI measurements directly to your iPhone, allowing you to tally and track your progress.

The Withings WS-30 wireless scale is available now for $100.
