AT&T’s Nokia Lumia 820 and 920 Windows 8 phones are already available for preorder and will ship starting tomorrow. They haven’t announced an exact launch date for the HTC 8X, but we do know you’ll be able to nab one before Turkey Day gets underway. That being said, Verizon today announced that the Lumia 822, the 820 variant, and the HTC 8X will be available by Thanksgiving, just in time for Black Friday.
The Lumia 822 will sell for $99.99 after a $50 mail-in-rebate with a 2-year contract – that’s $50 more than AT&T’s version. It will be available in black, white or gray. If you recall, the Lumia 822 sports a 4.3-inch 800×480 Clearblack display, an 8-megapixel camera that can capture full HD video, a 1800mAh battery (slightly bigger than the 820), a 1.5Ghz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus MSM8960, 16GB of storage expandable via a microSD card slot, 1GB of RAM, and Qi wireless charging.
The HTC 8X is the company’s latest and greatest. It features a 4.3-inch Super LCD 2 display with a high pixel density, a similar processor to that of the Lumia 822, 16GB of storage (not expandable), NFC support, an 1800mAh battery, an 8-megapixel camera that can shoot 1080p video with a F2.0 lens, and a wide angle 2.1-megapixel front lens for capturing you and your friends at your best. The HTC 8X will retail for $199.99 with a 2-year contract, and will come in Verizon colors (Red or Black).
At the time of the release Verizon also said that the Samsung ATIV Odyssey, a VZW exclusive, will be available by year’s end.
