More Borderlands 2 is coming our way. IGN reports, another story-flavored DLC will be available for would-be vault hunters, as soon as next week! Lock and load for Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage, where we get to meet the mastermind behind weapons manufacture “TORGUE”. BL2 players can identify TORGUE manufactured arms and munitions by their lack of elegant or futuristic lines, and sophistication. TORGUE makes up for this in raw power–often insanely explosive power.
Take a gander at “Rythmic KerBlaster”. The old girl does a base damage of 4387(!) at Level 34. The stats aren’t even showing us the tally for “…bonus explosive” damage! But this weapon is a beast! So it’s great to hear Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage will feature, not only new enemies and locations, but also new currency, which is required for purchasing TORGUE weapons from the brand new vending machines littered about the new locales. It’s said , “[these] machines features a selection of badass Torgue guns and always offers a legendary weapon in the Item of the Day slot.” There will be some familiar faces, of course. But I’m most interested in Tiny Tina’s bit in all this. Supposedly she will be offering her own brand of weapons in the way only ol’ girl can dish out.
The “culture of combat” is mentioned. Something “similar to Spartacus”. So we can expect more grueling arena and horde-style gameplay. Lets hope that blends well with the mission structure. But don’t listen to me. There’s more here and in the trailer above.
Borderlands 2’s next story-driven DLC; Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage will be November 20th on PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.
