2014 Jaguar XFR-S
The 2014 XFR-S was officially revealed at the 2012 LA Auto Show happening this week, after leaking a couple of teaser pics here and there on the Net. The 2014 model will hit the States next summer, with only 100 units available, selling for $90,000. New design additions include a deeper front bumper that has larger lower central and side air intakes, as well as a carbon fiber front splitter and extended side sills. The rear also now has a bigger bumper that features a carbon fiber diffuser and a rear spoiler that allows for better management of air flow.
Under the hood is the same V8 5.0-liter supercharged engine that Jaguar’s XKR-S sports, which pushes out 542 hp and 502 lb.-ft. of torque. The V8 is mated to a ZF eight-speed transmission with Quickshift, which allows for a 0-62 mph time of 4.6 seconds before reaching its top speed of 186 mph. Handling has been improved thanks to a recalibrated the Electronic Active Differential and Dynamic Stability Control system, and they also installed wider 20-inch Varuna forged alloys with wider tires to improve grip on the roads. EPA estimates include: 15 mpg city / 23 mpg highway / 18 mpg combined and has CO2 emissions of 270 g/km.
