The next James Bond film, Skyfall, will hit theaters on November 9th. The film is highly anticipated, especially after the last film was a bit of a flop, at least compared to Casino Royale. Nevertheless, Bond is a man of gadgets, and if you caught the last two films then you know that his Sony phones make more appearances than his costars.
Featured in this year’s Bond film will be the Sony Xperia TL, which is said to be the company’s next flagship phone. And if you’ve been waiting for carrier news, you might be glad (or disappointed) to hear that it will hit AT&T sometime this fall, presumably before the film’s release. Features include a 4.6-inch qHD (1080×720) screen, a massive 13-megapixel camera that captures full HD video, a 1.5Ghz dual-core processor, Android 4.0.4, GPS, Bluetooth, DLNA connectivity, and NFC. Include in the box will be one smart tag system for adjusting settings on the fly using near field communication, along with three preloaded apps that include Walkman, Movies, and Albums. Needless to say, the Xperia TL will be LTE compatible. And while the TL will ship with ICS, Sony has said they’ll push an update shortly after its launch, enabling customers to enjoy Jelly Bean.
Unfortunately, there is no word on a price or launch date.
