Passing the football around has long been relegated to a day time activity. Not any more thanks to the NERF Firevision Football from Hasbro.
It uses some new fangled technology called Microprism. Which is just a fancy way of saying mirror. Nevertheless, you strap on the included goggles (red or green) and when the ball is within a 100-foot proximity of your head, the built-in LED lights reflect off the Firevision ball’s special material and cause it to light up. The ball itself doesn’t actually illuminate, but instead reflects the light from the goggles, which is effectively the same thing. Clearly the Firevision football can be used during the day, but its cache truly comes into play at night time. You’ll just want to make sure that there are any extended sprinkler spouts or bear traps lurking near by, otherwise a quick night time game of catch might turn into a trip to the emergency room.
The Firevision Sports Football is available from Amazon for $20. Of note, NERF also offers a basketball version for $16.
Grew up back East, got sick of the cold and headed West. Since I was small I have been pushing buttons - both electronic and human. With an insatiable need for tech I thought "why not start a blog focusing on technology, and use my dislikes and likes to post on gadgets."
