iPhone 5 Stolen from Foxconn, Leaked to Video (video/pics)
This is purportedly the new iPhone 5 in the flesh. There is really no reason to believe that it is a fake, unless someone has some serious engineering skills (or people) at their disposal. Then again, we can never put anything beyond the web’s pranksters.
As you can see this iPhone is slimmer, has an almost two toned back, a bigger screen, and what appears to be another sensor, or perhaps an additional microphone placed above the handset speaker. Unfortunately, since the device couldn’t be registered – safe to assume a Foxconn worker smuggled it out of the factory – the booting process ends rather rapidly.
That all being said, if this is the new iPhone 5, it is a bit unremarkable since it is the 3rd iteration of the iPhone 4 in terms of aesthetics. Not much has changed, with the exception of the backing – that only addresses the fragility of the iPhone 4s – and the slightly larger screen. Less notable is the removal of the metal antenna band, and the move to a new, smaller dock connector. Perhaps Apple’s reign of supremacy is closing to an end and hence why they are suing the pants of Samsung.
