Texas-based tuner Hennessey has released pictures of its limited-edition VR1200 coupe and a video of its dyno testing. Known for pushing the limits of power, Hennessey has claims that their VR1200 coupe can push out 1,066 ponies on the tyno with 954 lb.-ft. of torque. Based on a Cadillac CTS-V coupe, Hennessey nearly doubled the horsepower of a stock Cadillac CTS-V.

To harness that much power, Hennessey took out the factory-issued twin-screw supercharger on the CTS-V entirely, instead opting to go with and engine with 427 cubic inches (7.0-liters) and twin turbochargers. You can actually say that the VR1200 coupe is actually Hennessey’s tuned down version of their Venom GT supercar.

Only 12 of these bad boys will be built, but Hennessey will offer most of the performance upgrades a la carte for any Cadillac CTS-V (and even a Chevy Camaro ZL1).
