The Best Deals According to Dealnews: August 20th, 2012 Edition

About the size of a USB flash drive, this mini PC features a 1.5GHz Allwinner processor, 1GB RAM, 2GB of onboard flash storage, microSD card slot, wireless connectivity (which protocol isn’t clear), HDMI output, and more.

2. Class Central: Free online courses from Stanford, M.I.T., Harvard, more

Via Class-Central, sign up for free ongoing and upcoming courses from Stanford Coursera, M.I.T.’s MITx Learning Programs, Harvard’s HarvardX, Berkley’s BerkeleyX, and Udacity. They’re among the best free online courses we’ve seen. (We last saw courses starting in February, but only for Stanford and M.I.T.) As of this post, classes cover Computer Science, Entrepreneurship, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and more.

3. Ralph Lauren: Up to 60% off select men’s hoodies + extra 25% off

Ralph Lauren cuts up to 60% off a selection of men’s hoodies, as listed below. Even better, coupon code “RLSUM25″ cuts an additional 25% off. That puts each at least $43 off and at the lowest total price we could find. Shipping adds $5 but orders of $195 more qualify for free shipping. Sales tax is added where applicable. The deals:

4. Office Depot Clearance Sale: Up to $300 off + extra $25 off at Office Depot stores

In-store only, Office Depot cuts up to $300 off select clearance items as part of its Clearance Event Sale. Plus, take an extra $25 off Toshiba and ASUS desktop PCs, laptops, and tablets via this printable coupon. Alternatively, take an extra $25 off HP and Brother printers via this printable coupon. (These coupons don’t stack with each other.) Combined, that’s the best discount we’ve seen on clearance items from Office Depot and yields several price lows. Sales tax is added where applicable. Coupons expire August 25.

5. ThinkGeek Summer Sale: Up to 75% off select items

ThinkGeek takes up to 75% off 300 items in its clearance section, as part of its Summer Sale. (Prices are as marked on product page.) With deals from 99 cents, it’s tied with our mention from three weeks ago as the best sale we’ve seen from ThinkGeek since February, when we saw up to 90% off with stacking coupons. Shipping starts at around $5, or get free shipping on orders of $75 or more.

A best bet is the Donkey Kong Wall Decal Pack for $27.99 plus around $7 for shipping. (Select the correct style from the drop-down list to see this price.) That’s the lowest total price we could find by $37. It includes three 26″ x 40″ sheets of wall decals.

6. Ubuntu One: 5GB storage space for free

Ubuntu One offers 5GB of storage for free. That’s the first such deal we’ve seen for this Internet file storage service. The service also includes mobile access, file sharing, and file synching across platforms. It’s compatible with Windows, Ubuntu, Android, iPhone, and iPad.

7. Pringles Speaker for free with purchase of 4 cans of chips

Pringles offers a free Pringles Speaker via this mail-in rebate when you purchase four cans of Super Stack Pringles. That’s tied with our May mention as the best offer we’ve ever seen from Pringles. Your speaker will arrive by mail in approximately 10 to 12 weeks. Deal ends October 31.

8. Casio Men’s Multi-Task Gear Waveceptor Sports Watch for $45 + free shipping
