It’s not the gadgets that cost thousands of dollars the turn the corners of our mouth upwards.  It’s the cheap, easy to use, why didn’t I think of it gadgets.  Don’t get us wrong; we’ll gladly take the new iPhone with open arms.  However, that’s a device that everyone and their mother will soon own.  The Power-Up Arcade Light Switch Plate on the other hands is something you might see once, provided your lucky enough.

This novel device replaces your standard, now old school American light switch with a 1980s video game joystick.  The stick is actually the switch, where as the buttons are there for fun.  Push them and they’ll emit old school video game sound effects, that is assuming you’ve installed two AA batteries.  And when you flip the switch into the off position, a backlight will illuminate lighting up the awesome retro graphics.
